You may remember it as the Structural Foam Conference and the Structural Plastics Design Competition.  Now the Alliance of Plastics Processors is proud to be taking their longstanding plastics-specific design event to a dramatically expanded audience by offering the event at NPE2009 as the International Plastics Design Competition (IPDC).

The IPDC will be a key feature at NPE2009, situated in the new West Hall of McCormick Place between the New and Emerging Technology Pavilions.  New for this year’s competition:

• a dynamic online photo gallery and voting portal for selection of the People’s Choice Award
• a broadened focus to include product submissions from any country and any end-use market
• the addition of several new awards recognizing improvements in sustainability through design
• acknowledgement of all companies along the supply chain that contribute to production of a winning entry
• unprecedented press coverage for competition entrants, including a special press breakfast for award winners with over 400 members of the trade press.
